Man Drowns After Front End Loader Falls Into Water

A 62-year-old man lost his life at work after the front end loader he was driving fell over the side of a bridge and plunged into the water below.

Police Investigating

Water rescue crews arrived to the scene of the accident but they were too late - he had already been trapped below the surface for too long and had drowned. Police are still unsure of exactly what caused the accident but are investigating.

Death Benefits Available To Family Members

Sadly, this man is not the first or the only construction worker to lose his life this year. There is nothing on this earth that can take away the pain that his loved ones are experiencing right now, however, it is possible that they may be able to recover financial compensation which would help them while they mourn.

Financial compensation may come in two forms:

1. Workers' Comp Death Benefits
2. Compensation Through A Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Those who are eligible to claim either of these are typically the parents, spouses, or children of the deceased. Other dependents may also be eligible.

Workers' compensation is required by a law and when a claim is approved, the deceased loved ones will be able to receive weekly payments which are meant to compensate for the loss of income that had been provided by the accident victim. Unfortunately, getting a claim approved can be quite difficult and is best attempted with the assistance of a lawyer.

At the same time, a lawyer can identify if a wrongful death lawsuit is an option and can help guide the plaintiffs through the legal process. This complaint is filed against a third-party whose negligence resulted in the accident which took the life of the worker.
